THE BHAKTI YOGA CLUB PROGRAMS

The Bhakti Yoga Club meets most every Sunday during which UVA is in session.

WHEN: Sunday Evenings from 5:30-7:00 pm
WHERE: The Bhaktivedanta Center, high on a ridge overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains

PROGRAM: Mantra meditation set to music, Bhagavad-gita class and discussion, Sumptuous vegetarian dinner and conversation — All Free!

The first Program for Fall 08 semester will tentatively be on 08/31/08

Partial list of topics:

Class #1- Club Intro: Why we chant (sing mantras), study Bhagavad-gita and feast. It's all good! Speaker: Mayapriya dasi

Class #2- Is what we see in the mirror really who we are? Speaker: Amit Acara dasa

Class #3- The hierarchy of Illusion. Speaker: Amit Acara dasa

Class #4- If Yoga means "to link," what are we linking with? Speaker: Amit Acara dasa

Class #5- Action & Reaction—beyond the laws of physics (karma, predestination, both or neither?). Speaker: TBA

Class #6- Modes of Nature. You always get what you asked for...you just may not remember asking. Speaker: Mayapriya dasi

Class #7- Reincarnation—stands up to reason. Speaker: Amit Acara dasa

Rides come from Grounds each week, and if you have a car, you can get directions from Amit Acara dasa.

If you are driving and would be willing to bring others, please email us. Thank you.

The Bhakti Yoga club requests you don't bring cell phones to the programs (i.e., please leave them in the car before coming inside). No pets allowed.
